The South Gate community is conveniently located in central Sarasota less than 15 minutes to Award Winning Siesta Key Beach and Downtown Sarasota. Less than 5 minutes to the Sarasota Memorial Medical complex.  Good shopping areas, top restaurants and excellent schools are in and around South Gate.
 
The South Gate Community Center is located at 3145 South Gate Circle, at the intersection of Siesta Drive and Tuttle Ave.  It includes an historic mid-century building designed by Sarasota School of Architecture architect Victor Lundy. The Association owns five acres with frontage on Phillippi Creek. Many community events, parties, weddings and other events are held in the building and on the grounds.
 
Kayaks and canoes can be launched onto Phillippi Creek by members. Swimmers can enjoy the large pool during the summer months. Memberships is optional and is very reasonable. Full membership including the pool is only $200 per year per household.

South Gate’s incredibly convenient location makes it a great place to live.
